The java or malacca apple is a conundrum (ambiguous). It can be green or pink in colour, looks rather like a pear with the shape of a fig, and is sometimes even described as raspberry-flavoured in Karukera! Its refreshing white flesh is particularly sought after in very hot weather. As a candied fruit that perfumes the air and seduces the palate, the fragrant java apple is totally irresistible!
